While the rest of the world is focusing on the
summer holidays, we Halloweenites are busy planning
our annual costume party, sketching macabre scenes
for our home or commercial haunt, building new
props, sewing elaborate costumes, searching for
additions to our Halloween collectibles. . . whew!

of Halloween. It's been several months since the
holiday and even more until we're surrounded by the
warm glow of black 'n orange colored treasures. The
holidays that follow Halloween are especially hard.
I keep wondering what all the fuss is about. After
all, the best holiday is over so how can everyone
be so merry? I find myself looking for marked-down
Halloween items amongst the Christmas
bargains&emdash;but to no avail. One day I shared

Entering the fifth year of publishing, I'm still
astounded by the plethora of stories that can be
done on Halloween. I'm often asked, "Is there
enough to say about Halloween that warrants a
year-round magazine?" My answer steadfastly
remains, "Yes!" This is the perspective that
launched Happy Halloween Magazine in March...
